Last April, Hyundai Canada announced an expanded partnership with BGC Canada, the country’s largest dedicated charity for children and youth, as part of its commitment to promoting opportunity and inclusion for everyone. Hyundai Canada’s $ 1 million donation is part of a four-year commitment to support BGC Canada and the Youth of the Year Program.

In addition to providing financial support to BGC Canada, Hyundai Canada generously donated four 2021 Santa Fe SUVs last year to Clubs across the country for a one year period. The operational costs of these vehicles, including fuel and insurance, were covered by Hyundai with local dealerships providing complimentary regularly scheduled maintenance. BGC Dawson was one of the clubs that benefited from this donation last year.
Marie Rousseau, Director of Finance and Administration at BGC Dawson, reflected on the impact of this donation over the past year. “Thanks to Hyundai Canada, we were able to deliver hundreds of meals and food baskets to those in our community facing food insecurity, purchase program supplies, and transport materials for our children and youth programs. We couldn’t be happier with this partnership!”
In January 2022, Hyundai Canada renewed their vehicle donation program with BGC clubs across the country. BGC Dawson was generously gifted a 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe for an additional year. On January 18, 2022, Philippe Larin of Hyundai Gabriel St-Jacques, had the privilege of giving the keys of the new vehicle to BGC Dawson. “We are so happy to play a part in this and have no doubt the vehicle will be put to good use!” says Larin. This vehicle donation will enable BGC Dawson to continue deliver essential community programs and services over the next year.
