To celebrate the last day of relâche-week, the children of the MANA and Cameron camps held an emotional gathering full of joy, games, music, and dance. It was the final point of a week packed with fun and exciting activities, from theater, painting, and science classes to a visit to the Île-des-Sœurs fire fighters and a trip to the cinema.

At the fete day of both organizations, the infants were able to interact with peers with different life circumstances. It is important to mention here that many of MANA’s infants are children of recent immigrants to Montreal. As for Camp Cameron, it has a long experience and an important reputation in a variety of para-school activities, based on a vision of holistic wellness for children, and social-emotional learning strategies. For the directors of the two organizations, Yajanna Pupo and Nicolle Cameron, it was a valuable meeting to exchange knowledge and to plan future collaborations and integration activities.

At Nun’s Island, families with very diverse backgrounds live together harmoniously. In this sense, interaction between children from different social and cultural backgrounds is important because it promotes mutual understanding, the development of social skills, tolerance, and cultural enrichment, which contributes to the creation of more inclusive and respectful societies.
